Meet Jesse James! Here is Sandra Bullock, coming off perhaps the best year of her career ,only to learn in the most public and humiliating way that the man she declared her “soul mate” is a liar and a cheat. I wonder what she saw in this sorry excuse for a man. Hope she recovers from the hurt and moves on to a man worthy of her love and devotion. What is she doing with a mechanic anyway…he’s not even hot!

Talk about a buzz kill…
Wednesday, March 24th, 2010Alexander McQueen
Saturday, February 27th, 2010I am so sad about the premature death of Alexander McQueen. This man who finally became the darling of the fahion world, who seemingly had no where to go but up, apparently took his own life. He was only 40 years old. Seems he nipped his life in the bud. Goes to show that no matter what it looks like, one never knows someone else’s journey. I for one never loved his clothes, but respect his individuality and creativity.
What a shame and loss for those that loved him and of course the rest of us fashionistas…
So much to talk about so little time…
Thursday, February 11th, 2010Who’s more outrageous, John Edwards or Tiger Woods?
I know I am a bit behind on this “breaking news” but I
can’t let my thoughts go unsaid. For me, John Edwards
is the MOST disappointing lying human being. How many
times does he think he can deny something and then
admit it? This man, this spineless, gutless, dishonest,
unethical, narcissist could have been our president.
As for Tiger, to my way of thinking he has serious
problems, and btw, that doesn’t make him any less
of a jerk.
CELEBRITY OVERLOAD REVISITED
Wednesday, January 27th, 2010With reference to last entry…the correct name of the
book I referred to is “The Private Lives of Yves St
Laurent and Pierre Berge” If you are a fan, an artist,
a fashionista or someone who loves to look into the
minds of genius you’ll love it.
CELEBRITY OVERLOAD
Sunday, January 24th, 2010I just received the most wonderful and beautiful book about Yves St Laurent, as told by Pierre Berge, his life and business partner. It is a pictorial of YSL’s beautiful homes, as well as a look into the mentality of the designer. YSL was a man who couldn’t help but design; he was beyond passionate about his craft, he was obsessive, if you will, he was a visionary, a genius. Reading his story evoked nostalgia about the way it was.
Well, I just read that Sarah Jessica Parker (aka SJP) was just named Pres and Artistic Director of Halston. Now, I am a fan of SJP, I think she has great style, she looks great in clothes and I am a HUGE fan of Sex in the City. But how does she qualify for this job ? The likes of YSL, Dior, Emanuel Ungaro, Chanel, Valentino, et al , didn’t have any other career. They were 100% committed to their art. They didn’t act, produce, direct, licence their names…they were artists who lived and breathed their work. I love fashion, and have been around long enough to remember when fashion designers were revered. Now, I guess it takes celebrity to fuel interest. Is this an, if “Lindsay Lohan can do it so can SJP?” What has celebrity to do with designing??? Oh, BTW, Julia Roberts has just been named the face of Lancome…Call me crazy, but I don’t get it.
I’m not the only one!
Thursday, January 7th, 2010Let’s bring back the Brad Pitt topic for a moment here, apparently I am not the only one who has an opinion about Pitt’s mountainous facial hair.
According to www.movies.com (Worst Celebrity Facial Hair of 2009 – Brad Pitt), they also have something to say: For reasons that still aren’t clear to me, 2009 became the year that Brad Pitt decided to grow the ugliest chin-beard known to man. That thing became so raunchy he even decided to braid it and hang little beads in there. It was kinda reminiscent of a 100-year-old miniature Christmas tree that had rotted away decades ago. Dude needs a shave, like, yesterday. (http://www.movies.com/movie-news/celebrity-gossip/the-worst-of-2009-part-1/20091224)

Monica Arnold….A Breath of Fresh Air
Thursday, November 19th, 2009
the many faces of monica
I learned of this inspiring woman by accident. 28 year old R&B singer Monica Arnold handles 2 kids, a music career and is true to her ethics and close to her family. No stories of drugs, rehab, parties or missed engagements, and she’s devoted to her fans. Imagine that in Hollywood today. She’s survived many tragedies and keeps on going , just a real girl doing her thing without much ado. The girl’s got it going and (the best part) she has great taste in sunglasses! She has been spotted several times wearing one of my favorite brands, Sospiri.
Who is styling Brad Pitt these days?
Wednesday, November 18th, 2009
I guess he’s tired of being “hot”. Somehow, this mountain man look just doesn’t work for me. He grew the tangled beard for a role in his new movie The Lost City of Z, but just doesn’t seem to have done the best job of maintaining it. And as if the beautiful actor could make matters worse:

he has added silver beads to it. What is he thinking…or is he?
Brad and Angelina Designing Jewelry at Asprey
Tuesday, November 17th, 2009
Being the self proclaimed grande dame of all things fashion related, I usually get great pleasure dissing celebs who think they can design ( i.e.Lindsay Lohan for Ungaro). However, I have to say in this case the dynamic Hollywood duo of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is doing a fab job designing jewelry for Asprey. From a PR perspective, it was pure genius on Asprey’s part to align themselves with the notorious couple. Best of all a percentage of the proceeds goes to Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, …of course.
