All I can say is that this movie is a total “smilefest”  2  hours of great fun. Whatever your age, if you like music….and if you are a rock n roller….DO NOT MISS IT!   The  fashion and The glasses  so define the era.   If you like em, I have ‘em.   They still look amazing …http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRh1-cyWfGQ

Who is styling Brad Pitt these days?

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

bradpitt_beard1I guess he’s tired of being “hot”.  Somehow, this mountain man look just doesn’t work for me.  He grew the tangled beard  for a role in his new movie The Lost City of Z, but just doesn’t seem to have done the best job of maintaining it.  And as if the beautiful actor could make matters worse:

he has added silver beads to it.  What is he thinking…or is he?

Brad and Angelina Designing Jewelry at Asprey

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

asprey04 snake braceletBeing the self proclaimed grande dame of all things fashion related, I usually get great pleasure dissing celebs who think they can design ( i.e.Lindsay Lohan for Ungaro).  However, I have to say in this case the dynamic Hollywood duo of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is doing a fab job designing jewelry for Asprey.  From a PR perspective,  it was pure genius on Asprey’s part to align themselves  with the notorious couple.  Best of all a percentage of the proceeds goes to  Education Partnership for  Children of Conflict, …of course.

Shocked At The Surcharge

cabladyI always feel so cosmopolitan in a great pair of sunglasses hailing a taxicab in New York.  This weekend however, my shades hit the floor when I discovered the 50 cent surcharge hike, raising my evening cab surcharge a whopping $1.50!  This may not seem like too much, but when you read that this 50 cent increase is projected to piggybank $80-85 million  for the transit budget (barely 1% of the overall MTA budget), it makes you see how that increase really adds up.  How do you think this will effect the already suffering taxi business, let alone bite into tips for our hard working NYC drivers?
