This woman is the artistic director of the couture house of Emanuel Ungaro?

Several months ago, I was totally horrified when I learned the President Mounir Moufarrige, of the famed couture house Emanuel Ungaro appointed…are you ready…none other than party girl extraordinaire, Lindsay Lohan as artistic director. Well, as an old school kind of girl, who always had great respect and adoration for the couture houses, I was, as you can imagine incredulous about this. The latest from this company is that they have parted ways with their president Moufarrige, but, you guessed it, are keeping Lindsay Lohan on as artistic director. Who cares that her first show was a total disaster, or that her partying ways are becoming more and more infamous…what are we coming to is this the ode to any publicity is better than no publicity???

If you checked out the latest issue of WWD, they are boasting that Large Metal Sunglasses are back in the trend! Well, that is old news for us, because we’ve been dressing our customers with some of the coolest, old school frames around. Isn’t it nice to wear the style before it becomes a trend?

211 Mott Street, chez Linda Derector
Please stop by for champagne, J.Chanceux Macarons, and a Nathan Jenden trunk show!
Who is Nathan Jenden you say? In short, he is the best news for eyewear addicts to come down the pike. After searching to come up with a fun, exciting new item to offer for the holidays, I was thrilled to find this collection. I’ve been saving them for a Xmas “rollout,” but whoever I give a peek to, goes wild! $295 for most styles, a lot of bang for the buck! You, too, could don The Ghetto Princess, or Bowdacious, or is Dominatrix more your speed?

 the many faces of monica
I learned of this inspiring woman by accident. 28 year old R&B singer Monica Arnold handles 2 kids, a music career and is true to her ethics and close to her family. No stories of drugs, rehab, parties or missed engagements, and she’s devoted to her fans. Imagine that in Hollywood today. She’s survived many tragedies and keeps on going , just a real girl doing her thing without much ado. The girl’s got it going and (the best part) she has great taste in sunglasses! She has been spotted several times wearing one of my favorite brands, Sospiri.

I guess he’s tired of being “hot”. Somehow, this mountain man look just doesn’t work for me. He grew the tangled beard for a role in his new movie The Lost City of Z, but just doesn’t seem to have done the best job of maintaining it. And as if the beautiful actor could make matters worse:

he has added silver beads to it. What is he thinking…or is he?
